ATTENTION PLEASE
December 2020
Dear Congregation of Holy Trinity,
Church Council met last evening for their regular meeting and to review resuming all church services and activities.
The decision was made to fully resume all church-related activities effective December 5, 2020.
Because of the increase in cases within the Berlin area, including within our own congregation, and in order the ensure the safety of everyone Council is requiring that masks or face shields be worn the entire time you are inside the church building. Masks must be worn for the entire service, during Sunday School and anytime you are in the church building for any activity. Gloves must be worn by anyone handling any items that may be distributed outside the church. These requirements apply to all adults and any child over the age of two.
Communion will be limited to monthly on the third weekend of the month. Communion will be distributed using prepackaged wafers and grape juice and will be handed out at the door by the ushers.
The Christmas Eve Service is still planned for two services at 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM. This is necessary to ensure social distancing. Based on figures for the past three years there have been over 200 people in attendance on Christmas Eve. We are unable to allow for this many in attendance with social distancing. We should be able to safely accommodate 150 people plus an additional 30 in the basement with the service played over the speakers. We ask that you please call the church office to reserve your time slot for the services. For those who do not wish to attend in person on Christmas Eve we are hoping to do a live Facebook broadcast of the service.
Please be aware that the pews have been roped off accordingly and we ask that you do not remove the ropes from the pews.
We ask for your cooperation and understanding during this difficult time and ask that you be aware of the safety of yourself and others. We are desperately trying to consider the safety of all and still maintain worship and activities which are necessary at a time when they are most needed.
Yours in Christ,
The Church Council

Dear Congregation of Holy Trinity,
Unfortunately we have had to make the decision to temporarily suspend all church services and activities within our church building due to the upsurge in COVID-19, including potentially some attending members testing positive for the virus.
This includes both the Saturday and Sunday services, Sunday School, and all group activities and meetings.
Pastor Gary and the Church Council feel it is best that we err on the side of caution for the safety of everyone. We will review the situation for possible reopening on December 5, 2020.
Please watch the website and our Facebook page for updates. Pastor Gary will continue to record his messages and you are encouraged to take advantage of this, especially during this time. His messages will be available for viewing prior to each Saturday evening. He will also post a Thanksgiving dinner prayer.
Please continue to support the church financially by mailing your offering or dropping it in our locked mailbox outside the church office.
Just a reminder that the last date to order poinsettias is Monday, November 23rd. These orders can also be dropped off in the mailbox at the church office.
The church office will continue to be open normal hours at the present time. And as always, Pastor Gary can be contacted by phone.
Yours in Christ,
The Church Council
